I know Leupold and newly SWFA have ultralight scopes. By chance maybe it’s a new player on market I don’t know about?
Thanks

That’s a great question I can’t answer
In my view why I would throw pig on top of my lightweight. What’s was the reason to have lightweight rifle then?
I totally understand just personally wondering at what weight reliability starts to degrade on scopes. They all have the same components and construction to my understanding, just seems some can do it a lot better than others

You throw a heavier scope on your lightweight rifle when you want one that you can absolutely depend on to work. Saving a few ounces on a scope that may track correctly or hold zero is the wrong approach if it lets you down when you really need it. At what point is a couple ounces worth peace of mind?

Reliability tends to be more of an internet issue I believe. I am shocked how many vx2 and vx 3 with cds you seen in Alaska . Apparently nobody told them they won’t work reliably.
Most of those were probably on rifles that see less than a box of shells through a year. They couldn't tell if they dial correctly or not

Leupold had a bevy of great lightweight scopes...and nobody bought them so they quit making them.

Quit demanding super long range Hubbles that'll stop a tank round without shifting zero and they might start making them again.

When ounces count, I stick a 4x33 or 6x36 on it and go kill stuff.

Big thank you to everyone for your wisdom
. A lot of good information been provide it. I stopped on HD LH 1.5-8 since it would fit perfectly on tiny rifle. Now it’s waiting time to get my rifle from Oregun. I’ll post pictures after I get my hands on rifle.

the hd lh is to heavy for my taste
I don’t disagree it is heavy 13oz, no lighter options available. nothing on market that fit my need for lightweight scope with 2 or less power on lower end, good glass, reliable/warranty. Leupold put stupid cds on everything now leaving no reticle options, and no 2 power lightweights. Trijicon heavy too even with 1-6x24. I wouldn’t mind have z5 2.4-12, 50mm bell kills that. SWFA ultralight too cheap for option it provide. Do you have any in mind I don’t know about it?
