I'm wondering if anybody has used the Kenetrek Desert Guide boots. I have the Mountain Extreme and like them a lot, but I'm looking for a non-waterproof boot that breathes better. I want to retain all the other qualities of the Mountain Extreme--high, stiff, tough, etc. I see the Desert Guide has a different sole and isn't as high, which has me hesitant.

JDZ,

The desert guide is a solid boot, and does have similar characteristics to the Mountain Extreme, the design was inspired by the ME, only built for the specific purpose of being a more breathable/shorter version with a slightly more durable sole. Perfect for hunting in warmer souther climate where traction and stiffness is still a neccessity.

If you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!
