Cool find! Wish I would have found this before I purchased mine this spring. The one I got looks similar, but without the pack attaching feature. I’ve Been testing it on hikes with my day pack. Im happy with it so far. Straps don’t interfere with my pack straps, that was mi biggest worry, that the chest pouch straps would eat into my shoulder with a large day pack on. Doesn’t seem to be an issue thank goodness. It Holds quite a bit. Seems tough, it’s quiet, Adjusts down to fit my medium body. I think I caught it on sale, feel like I spent 45$

Guess I don’t see the need, is 3lbs on your chest/shoulders that bad? I like to have my binos available when my pack is off my back or if I leave it behind.

I like dumping the pack, but keeping the bino harness on as well

I can see one advantage of this setup is that your binos always are on the outer layer; sometimes can be pain when removing/adding layers

Plenty of times that I want my bino harness on but not my pack. Many instances per day when hunting. That would never work.

I use this rifle hunting. I like having my backpack and bino pack altogether ready to go in the morning and it makes it easier to remove or add layers - don't have to take off 2 things just one. It replaces the pack "chesty" strap. Also it's much more comfortable. I tried rigging this myself for years and bought this as soon as I saw it. Great product IMO
