Sold AMP MKII annealer with AZTEC

I have a uses AMP Mark II annealer with the AZTEC upgrade and latest firmware installed.
Front of the annealer has a white adhesive sheet on it with some of my setting notes on it, but can easily be removed if the buyer desires.

It’s basically the entire tech that sets the AMP apart from any other annealer. Its the portion of the machine that does the destruction and analyzation of a piece of brass and generates the code used to anneal all the other subsequent pieces of brass to anneal them to a degree of precision not attainable by other annealers

That’s what I’m struggling with. How does it know? It has to destroy a piece of sacrificial brass and in that destruction process it somehow determines what the optimal temp and time to anneal is and then generates a “code”? And then next time you anneal that cartridge you just punch that code in, so you don’t have to ruin another piece of brass? Is that it?

Are there known codes for known cartridges and brands of brass that can be put in right from the jump? Without the destruction process? Seems that would be a lot easier.

I wouldn’t waste the time looking for someone else’s number though, it takes 3 seconds for it to analyze your specific brass (lot variations matter) and you have a custom recipe for your brass forever

If you’re buying a $1600 annealer and one portion of likely a much more expensive system and are concerned out wasting a single $1-$5 piece of brass one single time in a brass lots lifespan, I cant help you

Ahh, I thought you had to ruin a piece of brass every time you fired it up. Only once isn’t bad. Let me think on this a day or two. I may be interested in yours.
