Alright, who did it?

They make a media announcement out of the bull's death, then act surprised when someone snags the rack.

The first thing I said when I saw the headline is that they should have just recovered it and put it in the visitor center. Now they waste resources on an "investigation."

That must have been an old elk. "Mr and Mrs martinez what would you like to name your baby ? I know kahuna after the elk we saw at the park".

Technically a "deadhead" should be fair game outside of the park because they aren't "sheds".
Is it a crime because it was taken out of the park? We found a big deadhead a few years ago and asked at the parks office in Montrose if we could keep it. She told us we could.

finally got his BOAL!!! good for him... hopefully some ninja WKR doesn't come by in the darkness of night and jack this BOAL too.... you know who you are WKR ninja! knock it off, leave his BOAL alone
His EOAL perhaps?

Dollars to doughnuts it shows up on YouTube. . .

Some genius will stash it out in the sage before daylight next year, then start their "search" find and antler or two and then BAM! Look at this monster! Too bad he didn't survive, blah blah blah, like, subscribe, and follow me and you can learn to find massive racks like this!!!

His EOAL perhaps?
bull.... still a BOAL whether it's a buck or a bull, and it was either him or a WKR, that's how big antlers disappear in the night... JLHOIS could have made a deal with the ninja WKR that one gets the deadhead with one side, the other gets the dropped shed, so we are likely looking at conspiracy charges too, and maybe a wanton charge since they didn't take anything but the head and antlers... one got a DHOAL, and one got a SOAL

DHOAL, that works.

What's the fine for removing something from a National Park? Should it matter whether it was a dead head, a pine cone, or a rock?

On the news last night they called this a poaching incident. Poaching a dead head??? Me thinks they're now getting emotional over it all.
