Alaska Wolf Brain Drain

I have lived most of my life in Alaska and spent many days in the woods but had never seen a wolf till last fall. I spotted this one while sheep hunting and shot him facing me at 75 yds, right between the eyes with a 270win. One of those was all he could handle. Best part.... No exit.

. Saturday I took my pup out out hunting , trying to get him ready for his first hunt test, at Palmer in May . We had hiked in about 4 miles , Apache (my pup) was out in the woods after grouse /rabbits and I looked up in front of me and there was a big O'L wolf about 40 yards away . I caught him in the wide open , snuck right up on top of him . We both looked right at each other and he bolted through the woods . Lucky I got my pup back before he jumped on his trail lol .... my pup is a year old and 95# , but that wolf made him look like a beagle ha!ha
I have a friend who has managed to take 2 wolves with a longbow!!!! I've tried to call them in within longbow range , but they are one of the smartest animals period in my opinion!!!!!

Another one while sheep hunting, the wolf was hunting up a drainage out of rifle range,
then hit our scent, came running back and my partner shot him at 80 yards.
