Alaska Deer Tag Question

Hey guys,
I plan on calling AK Fish and Game after work but wondering if I can get an answer before that. I am all dialed for Nov deer (Kodiak) and logged in to buy my lic and tag as a NR. I did this a few years ago but dont remember having to pickup three items and was looking for some clarification. I am grabbing the 7day fishing license and annual hunt which is straightforward. From there, I get confused. There is an option for Hunting Permits as well as Big Game Locking Tags. Do I need both the General Season Deer Permit (free) as well as the Big Game Locking Tag ($300)? It seems like they go together. I don't remember this from last time.

Not sure about the question you asked, but when we went last we had to separately print out harvest tickets to go along with the locking tags. The harvest ticket is what you fill out/cut to evidence the kill.

Correct you need both the free harvest ticket AND the locking tag since you are a Non-Resident

Yep, what Wildwilderness said....you need a hunting license, harvest ticket, and locking tag.
