I have read different opinions on straight vs angled. I really would like to know how you get get a quick view, ie aiming with an angled. I am going to be upgrading from a 20 year old collapsible to a model better suited for digiscoping. Thx

What I do is 'aim' the top center of the eyepiece on the 'target' and then fine tune it from there.

grab the objective with a "c"-clamp grip like an AR15 and point your index finger at whatever you want to look at.

You've got about 3 million years of evolution behind your ability to point at things, so take advantage!

Swaro ATM 20-60x65HD has a small barrel type peep sight that is very useful while you are learning to use the angled scope. After you learn how use it it still is useful as a protrusion to hook my "Beer Can Koozi" neoprene eye piece cover to.
