I sold my beloved Tikka T3x Lite in .243 to purchase a Sako S20 Hunter in the same caliber. The find the stock of this rifle is way too inconvenient for taking it on hunt, not to mention the barrel is also long. I am wondering if there are any "regular" aftermarket stocks that I can get for this rifle.

Have you tried the S20 precision stock? It has a more of a traditional rifle shape.

It is slightly heavier, but isn't as clunky as the hunter stock. It is what I use chambered in 300WM.

I thought about that, but the rifle is already 8lbs and I am looking for something lighter.

I’m toying with this idea. I have both stocks as it’s a great gun, but realize it is in a chassis you’ll only get it so light and the action is a bit thicc.

Pretty sure the weight difference is .2lb between the two.
I keep the precision on mine for comfort, the weight was negligible.
With scope/bipod/silencer I'm just under 12lbs in 308.
