I get pretty good results with the ELR 330 grainer and 96 grains (by weight) triple seven FFF loose powder.Bump...any more loads that shoot well in the .50 cal MR-X? I did not have good results on deer with 250gr PowerBelt Aerolites and 100gr by volume of BH209.
209 primers? I see there are adapters that work for large rifle primers, but don’t believe that will help in the velocity department.I get pretty good results with the ELR 330 grainer and 96 grains (by weight) triple seven FFF loose powder.
Yea, i use fiocchi. They work fine for me. Not sure if rifle primers would be better or not. I dont think im going to waste 215's to experiment.209 primers? I see there are adapters that work for large rifle primers, but don’t believe that will help in the velocity department.
Any field reports with that setup? Hoping to get 200yd performance.Parker 300 ballistic extremes with 86gr of BH209. CCI 250 with arrowhead breech.
Killed a cow at 180 bullet mushroomed great. And a bull at 170.Any field reports with that setup? Hoping to get 200yd performance.
I assume that’s 86 gr by weight?Parker 300 ballistic extremes with 86gr of BH209. CCI 250 with arrowhead breech.

Yes. That’s what worked for me in my load development. My buddy has same gun and his shoots 88. Varies.I assume that’s 86 gr by weight?
Triple 7 is in the name. 77.7 grains by weight is 100 grains by volume. So by my calculations, 96 grains by weight is 123.5 grains by volume.Thats MEGA overcharge no?
Example: 84 grains of BH 209 is 150 grains by volume equivalent. Don't know about 777....
That’s ballpark. When I measure 777, I get:Triple 7 is in the name. 77.7 grains by weight is 100 grains by volume. So by my calculations, 96 grains by weight is 123.5 grains by volume.
Same thing I'm using. Have thought about trying rifle primers but if it's not broken...Yea, i use fiocchi. They work fine for me. Not sure if rifle primers would be better or not. I dont think im going to waste 215's to experiment.
Nice. Im gonna have to bump up my charge now lolThat’s ballpark. When I measure 777, I get:
100 grV 2F 777 is 82.3 grW ave
100 grV 3F 777 is 85.7 grW ave
So 96 grW of 3F 777 would be 112 grV. So, yeah, a long way from max charge.
