Accidentally Bottomed Screw into Carbon?

Hey guys,

I am having trouble getting a direct answer from Hoyt. The pic below is just an example of where the flake came off of. Unfortunately the bow in question is back in my home state. I am sure I am over thinking this but I recently installed some side plates and I guess a screw got mixed up and was longer than the other. As I was running it down (not with any force) it bottomed out and I heard a slight "crack" or "clink". I removed it and noticed a small flake gone. Im confident it was just the finish coming off, exposed carbon does not appear raw, looks like the finished carbon just with out the paint.

My concern was the actual screw "bottoming" out in the insert. Does anyone know if the inserts in the grip are closed off when they are molded into the grip or more like threaded sleeves? I am just concerned I ran a screw into the carbon itself rather than bottoming out into a aluminum insert that is molded into the carbon itself.

Any input anyone can give me is appreciated. I am sure I am over thinking this but I want to make sure I didn't do any permanent damage.

Thanks!!
