A neat way to pack your clothes

Try rolling your shirts, underwear, and socks 10-15 times a day for about 10 weeks :)

You'll never consider it again! Haha

I used to be a fold guy.
After a buddy showed me how to roll my clothes, he served on subs in the Navy, I'll never go back to folding my clothes again.

What does it do to the elasticity of your socks over time?
my concerns as well plus a lot of times wearing footie socks ,,,sooo would probably use rubber bands to secure the ends. first learned this on a motorcycle forum as a space saving trick when packing saddle bags, also long pants come out looking better than folded. always used the large zip lock bags to help with rain issues, but have since discovered dry bags

I would think that you could get everything rolled up pretty tight without stretching your socks over everything else. Just use a rubber band, or the bungee loops with the ball on the end. (By the way, the purple rubber bands that are used to hold asparagus and other veggies together last longer, IME)

I found some compressible ziplock bags a few years back at Wally World that have worked good for stuffing a lot of clothes in a small bag.

I've been doing something similar to this for years, but on my dirty clothes.
Only instead I just fold the end of the shirt over the roll.
Like said, I do this w/ my dirty clothes, in order to distinguish clean from used, and to keep skanky clothes off clean ones.
Never thought about using the tubes of the socks, but like others have pointed out it looks like it would stretch them out, and I hate loose socks.

I don't know if the rest of you are like me, but I don't tend to change clothes very much when I'm hunting or backpacking. But this is more of a base/truck camp behavior.
