9.5 hour hike = 3 deadhead desert rams

The hike ended up being pretty dang brutal, only took a tiny pack so had to mcgiver it to carry one head, hand held another, and had to leave one to come back for another time.

Awesome. I was out earlier this week in the desert canyons near my property. Found two heads while scouting and saw two herds of 70+ sheep each. With how green the desert is right now they really stick out! Same with the deer.

I need to check Regs on the Colo national monument. Saw a bunch of crows munching on some large carcass a week ago, it was up a steep draw a mile away. Could have been a deer, but they are usually lower.
Buncha desert bighorns in there.

my taxidermist has a buddy who runs hounds. Found four ram deadheads all in an area from a lion in one day. I’ll see if I can find the picture
