Worked up a load with 180 eldms and 66.7 grns of Retumbo in perterson brass 215 primers. But I only saw 2850 fps out of a 26 inch barrel. I’d like to see around 2950+ fps. Should I go to n570 or a little faster powder like h1000 or 565? Any input would be appreciated thanks !

I'm late to this thread, glad to see you were able to work up a H1000 load. Was just going to say my 7PRC with 26" barrel shoots the 180 ELD-M at 3030 with N570, very accurate as well. Nice to see you're right at 3030fps with H1000. I'd stick with the H1000 if that's working for you

This is what I've been trying to get up to but with Ramshot Grand instead. You weren't getting any pressure signs with this charge?
none, but the recoil was starting to get up there.

No ejector marks, no swipes, no heavy bolt lift etc.

The primers were starting to get a tiny bit flatter than my 65gr starting load. But I'm talking almost indiscernible, I really had to look and compare. I would say to not go much further than this load, maybe 70.0gr at the most. These rounds are already over book max and the velocity is higher than specified by Hornady for this bullet and barrel length. This load is likely already overpressured.

Yall using mag primers for 7 PRC loads?

Trying to load dev for a picky one. Was using hammers, and switching from a LR mag to LR, and even changed brands shrunk groups 1 moa.

Now trying to dial in some 180 ELDMs, and groups opened way up again starting with mag LR. Across pretty much all Vit powders, accept H1000.

I have been using 215m in mine. Only 70 rounds down it so far though. Also interested if anyone is using standards or seeing any benefits with standards.
