This has been an absolute great barrel for me. Very surprised as to how easy it was to load for and point of impact at100yard tests remained identical across several weight bullets. Has been my go to hunting rifle for (2) years.
1:8 twist and throated for heavier bullets.
It was sick with Berger 180’s but they were unpredictable on terminal performance. Did extremely well with 162 Hornady eld-x’s but I wanted more thump..
Settled on 180gr accubonds.. didn’t play with that load much as first load I threw together was sending them at 2,780 and ballistics worked well with my turret and I just started hunting… as far as groups, it was under .75 with this load… the betters and hornadys, I played with seating depth and charges.. bother were < 3/8”.
I am only selling this barrel because I have (3) 7 saum’s and have a spare barrel for this action that I’m switching to to slightly reduce recoil and easier access to ammo for my son.. rifle is being given to him. Sorry but action is not for sale.
