7 prc 160 LRX testing

Went to the range to test out 160 LRX with the 7 prc. Have not been super happy with velocities I had been seeing with H1000. H1000 I would he heavy bolt lift and ejector marks at 72 grains which is over max, however, I like to go past so I have good data of where my known pressure is. Opted for Ramshot Grand a took it to 73.0 grain before I started seeing ejector mark, and 73.5 is where I stated to he heavy bolt lift. This is a browning xbolt hunter in 7prc that has a 24” barrel. Out of the 10 shot ladder, I found two separate nodes where POI was very similar and velocities were very similar. I picked the upper end and gave it a whirl. All of a sudden, after a quick test of groups it looks to be spot on and after refining I will have a great shooting load with 71.5 grains of Ramshot grand right at 3142 fps.
