I'm interested to hear more on the terminal performance with these ELDm on big game. We have pretty big bodied deer here and would love hear some first hand experiences.

I have firsthand experience on several different rifle platforms with several different animals from yards of 100 out to 600+ with ELDM - they are extremely deadly.

Should be done with my tikka build in a week! T3X 6CM, proof barrel and Peak 44 stock!

I’ve ran custom 700 clone builds, all the factory rifles, and everything in between. The fact of the matter is the tikka action is nearly, possibly, impossible to beat.

Indeed it is! First three round group out of the gun was quite under a half an inch, immediately moved down to a six round group. Through the first round because I was settling onto a new target, but stacked five. Even with the first round, it is still a half inch group. Crazy.

Also should add there was no break-in procedure done, no cleanings, literally just slapped it on the bench and sent rounds.

Starting over I would consider using the 112 MB’s over the DTACS as it sounds like they may be more appropriate for Creedmoor velocities.
Once my box of 500 DTAC NR’s is spent I will likely make the switch, unless performance on game is really really good…

Not really, at least I didn’t notice anything flexing it with my hand after. You aren’t really trimming down into the bottom parts where the rigidity comes from but the outer lips of it

I've been trying to make a leap to the 6cm, heard they are great to shoot but barrel life is a draw back. Any experience with this? Or would keeping the barrel shorter extended the life?

Realistically how many rounds do you shoot a year from a single gun? I personally don’t shoot enough volume to consider barrel life a major factor. Partly because my OGD (obsessive gear disorder) has me fancying a new gun/caliber after a few years anyways.

I love shooting my 6CM. I can paint little groups & reach out and touch things at moderate distance. Yes my 28N & 300WM are sexy but I’m a far less capable shooter with them.
