6.5PRC

I am getting ready to start loading for a CA Evoke in 6.5 PRC . I know they are known for not shooting well. I have some factory Hornady 143 Eld-x’s through it and it’s shooting decently. I am wanting to try the Berger Elite Hunters in the 140’s or the Serria tipped Game Kings. I have H-1000 and Retumbo for powders. Has anyone played around with this combo? Orr any advice on loading the 6.5PRC. Thanks

140 and 145 TGK shoot well in my Seekins. 140 ELD-M has also been good. I've played with 147 ELD-M a little and they shot decent. My buddies Seekins loves the 147 and its known to be a good bullet for most rifles. One of the surprises for me was the Hornady 140 BTHP Match bullet. It was cheap but shot really good in my rifle so I keep a box on hand to keep a few loaded up to warm the foul the barrel a little.

H4831sc and n565 have been my best powders for accuracy/velocity/ES/SD. H1000 works well for my buddy with the 143 ELD-X in his Seekins Element but its so hard to find H1000 for me that I stick to n565 since it very easy to find locally.

Lots of talk of N565 with the 6.5prc. I have a jug and a barrel ready to go. Just cant being myself to spin off my 25 western or 6 creed when they're dialed. One day I will get to it. Good luck!
