6.5 PRC

I have killed 3 mature cow elk with my 6.5 Prc. Two of them were shot using Choice Ammo in 130 Barnes TSX and were 300-350 yards and my last cow was shot last year shooting factory Hornady 143 Eldx @ 360ish yards. None went further than 20 yards. I have now switched over to UnKnown Munitions Berger 156 EOL. I have a good friend who has taken multiple Nilgai, Oryx, & aoudad with this ammo.

I’ve killed a pile of elk with my Seekins 6.5, I think 3 bulls and 4 cows between 10 and 850 yards. All went less than 50 yards. I also have a Gunwerxs 28 nosler, it doesn’t see much use. That 6.5 is just such a pleasure to shot, I’ll grab it over the 28 nosler 9 times out of 10 while elk hunting.

How does the UM ammo compare to the hornady factory match ammo out of your rifle? Obviously fps is probably higher but did the group size tighten up at all?
