hey whats up everyone.
I am getting ready to start reloading for my 6.5 prc. Its a custom rifle from Hells canyon armory. I am trying to decide on which dies to get for the rifle and I am seeking your advice/opions.
I am looking at the Redding premium deluxe, master hunter deluxe or the hornady dies set(which I dont know)? what do you guys think

Redding master hunters dies, spendy but I sure like em

Natchez usually has them for the best price

Just curious what types of loads are working for you guys in the prc. Im going to pick one up this winter. Not much out there yet.

156 or 140 Bergers, 143 eld-x, 147 eld-m..... H1000, RL26, N565 all seem to be the go to. Standard primers. My particular gun likes 156 Bergers and 56 gr's of RL 26 coming out the barrel at 3020 FPS.

I'm using retumbo with a 140 berger vld at 3020 fps in a CA Ridgeline. Not the fastest but very accurate. Killed 2 elk with it this year. My wife shot her bull at 320 yards and I shot a cow at 100.

I have the Redding Premium (not master hunter) - Works great. Has the micrometer seating die.

I am running the Berger 156 gr. EOL with 59.5 gr. of H1000 and the 143 gr. ELD-X with Retumbo, Excellent accuracy from both

I just ordered my 6.5 PRC master hunter dies from Bruno for $142. As far as powders and bullets go, I have some H1000, Retumbo, RE26 and N565. Plenty of 210M primers and 215M. But both bertram and ADG brass are backordered.

I'm looking at purchasing the 6.5 prc Redding master hunter dies as well, any issues with these dies for 156 grain berger bullets?

I have Redding dies for my Prc and am still on first firing for my brass. They are working fine so far just remember to disassemble them and clean all the oil out before loading. Mine came with a lot on it . A lot of guys are finding that after three firings or so, the dies are not sizing the web enough causing stuck cases. This is a problem with every die manufacturer in the 6.5 PRC. Even custom dies are having problems. I don’t want to dissuade you or anything, but just know the problem is out there. Some guys are having no issue at all but some are. As of right now, the fix seams to be getting a reamer that cuts the chamber a few thousandths more at the web then a standard reamer does.
