I’m looking to drop a little weight and gain some better function.
This is the lightweight forum so that is the goal.
I like to have a spare battery even on day trips. Never know when I forget to charge something, headlamp dies packing out in the dark, something turns on or is left on, etc.
I’ve carried a ravpower 5200 mAh for probably 8-10 years it works just ok and is 4.7 oz.
I have a few ideas and am looking for feedback from anyone who has used these.
-Nitecore or Vapcell 5000 mAh bi directional usb-c 21700 cell 2.6 or 2.7 oz
-SOG M29 flashlight with 5000 mAh cell that can be used as a battery bank. 4.6 oz Really liking this idea because I’ve had a minimum of two nighttime pack outs where it sure would have saved me a bunch of frustration and effort if I could see further.
-Nitecore carbon 6K at 3.1 oz
-Several small 5K anker or similar around 2.5-3.5 oz
-Nitecore also sells an MPB1 in a kit that turns a regular 21700 into a battery bank. Battery 2.66 oz and 0.35 for the MPB1
-open to other ideas and options, at less than 4.7 oz and ideally gain functionality or be more useful.
I know the nightcore 10k packs are 5.3 or so oz. And I might end up with one of those since my packs are all old and heavy.
