Mine does. If you have something to sell and JVS isn't interested, I might be.Does he happen to shoot left handed?
Tikka is a great choice. The action is top notch, and if he doesn’t like the OEM stock, you can get a KRG Bravo for around $500 or other more expensive models. If he’s bound and determined for wood, you could get a Boyd’s laminate for around $300 or less.My son turns 11 this year. Looking for a nice 308 deer rifle for him. He loves wood stocks but that’s not a must. Prefer 22” barrel length.
Anything out there before I order a new tikka?
Nossir right handledDoes he happen to shoot left handed?
Man that’s beautiful. Wish the barrel was at least 20” I’d be all over it. Those m77 are built like tanksI got a ruger m77 hawkeye compact. 16.5 in stainless barrel with laminate stock. Includes rings. In good shape hunted with very little.
This will be a rifle that he will be hunting solo with. Want to stick with a bolt gun. Little less variables for things to go wrong. A deer rifle he can keep forever.OP, you might also think about an AR platform. They are now readily available around $1K in .308. The cool thing about an AR is the stock adjusts for the child and they can grow with it. I have a friend that is raising his kids deer hunting with AR's exclusively. The kids like the platform (cool factor) and it meets the need for fit/adjustability. For what it's worth.

Great price, but that's a long length of pull for an 11 yr old at 14 inches. I ran across a similar deal, shouldered the rifle, and sat it back down. I don't use any rifles with a lop over 13.75 inches and I'm 55 yrs old. Actually prefer around 13.5- 13.6 inches. Thanks for all the replied
Picked up a Franchi momentum today for my son. Crazy good deal. Local farm store. Been in there so long it Had a half inch of dust on it. Discounted it to $439! Super happy about it! Plan to order him a Boyd’s stock for it.

Maybe you can order the Boyd's shorter and he can grow into the factory stock.
