Anybody have experience with this bullet on deer/elk? I have heard a couple locals talk about it having good results with it. I have been having issues with recoil and my shoulder, and have considered another rifle, but maybe this would reduce recoil enough that I could continue with this same rifle. Never shoot past 400 and looks like this bullet loaded fast shoots pretty flat to 300.

I shoot 110gr ttsx out of my 270 and it works well for me. I didn’t notice a huge reduction in recoil with the lighter bullet though because I’m close to max charge. Good performance on game and very flat shooter.

Probably a bit light for elk, but lethal on deer. My buddy killed a couple whitetails with them last year, broadside shoulder shots on both, drt and pass-throughs on both. They were the vor-tx factory ammo in 308. I've had surprisingly good luck with accuracy from their factory ammo.

I haven’t shot anything with it yet, but I have 130 grain ttsx in 308 loaded for this whitetail season. I’m getting 3100 fps out of a 22” barrel.

I’ve done a caribou and a 5’ grizzly with it, short range. Both were dead within seconds, though the caribou had more meat damage than I would have liked. For that reason, I prefer to keep impacts around 2200-2800 FPS.

I’ve used the 150g on caribou and deer from
My 308, I’d use that on elk too. No experience with the 130 though so no help at all really.

Just curious, about what was the “short range?”

Short range is Alaska might be long range to a guy in South Carolina 😂

Can't help you with that specific bullet, but I worked up a load for a 124g solid copper in the summer and I was surprised how noticeable the reduction in recoil from the heavier 150g, 160g and 180g bullets I'd previously shot in my 308.
