300WSM reloading

Unfortunately it looks like the 730 BC for the 210 ABLR's is more like 630/650 ish BC.

Reloader 17 is THE powder for the 300 WSM. H4831 does decent in mine as well as H-4350.

I agree...the WSMs seem to really like RL-17...just wish I had a Browning TI in 7 WSM for Becca to match my 325WSM so I could have a long range lightweight hunting rifle that would shoot better BC bullets than my 325 WSM so Ryan wouldn't give me such a hard time about "crankin' my scope to 7" :D

From what I have read and personal chrono'd (which is limited on the personally chrono'd to about 50 different rounds of the same load one at 10 degrees and one at 55) doesn't seem to be too much...seems to correlate well with what I've read being 1 FPS per degree about.

I've had excellent results with IMR 4007-SSC in my 325. Equaled factory 200gr Accubond load accuracy and velocity at 2950fps. This combo works in my gun I couldn't get 180gr tsx's to shoot for squat. I understand they are picky about off the lands measurement. I can't remember the exact figure but I think Barnes recommends .50 off the lands?? 220gr Gamekings with 4007SSC gives about same results at 2800fps. H4350 did not give the velocity or accuracy. I've not tried RL-17 and probably won't.

With those results why would you bother with another powder!!!

My Browning is extremely mag limited so distances off the lands is a non issue. :D

Anyone ever reload the Barnes lrx bullets? If so what's the thoughts of those? It sounds like Barnes talked them up a little and there ment for longer range, which doesn't matter to me much I see you can get .30 cal in 175gr which wouldn't be bad.

anyone here shoot and reload for 300wsm? i have a tikka t3 lite in 300wsm and now that spring bear season is over i want to start testing and making some loads up for it. I have been shooting federal 180gr trophy bonds (orange tip nickle case) and it seems to like those, i have a 3 shot quarter sized group at 100 yards with them, but i am really wanting to get into reloading more. any ideas or load recipes to try would be awesome!

Hunter, and H430 have served me well with 165's in the 300wsm.

My buddy tried the bergers in his t3 300wsm and it was all over the place, but what tip it was I do not remember, then he went to the 168gr Barnes tsx and had a tight group at even 200... So I think the Barnes 168s will be getting loaded up this weekend and some of my 180gr nosler accubonds to do some testing with...

Your Tikka should shoot a lot of loads that well or better. Littlebuf has that same gun I think and he has a really good load for it. Send me a text if you want and I can help you get a load dialed. I have a full reloading setup and a 100 yd range to test.
