Hey buys, looking to buy some 300 short mag brass, if possible I would like to avoid winchester brass. Thank you in advance.

Also if any one is looking I have some 200 grain accubonds, that I would trade for brass and or sell I have 29 left out of the original box. Thanks again

If I hadn’t primed 35 of the 100 Bertram brass I bought I’d sell it to you. But I don’t think I can send it through the mail that way

This may not be what you want to hear, but if you weight sort and fully prep Winchester brass, it’s good stuff. I switched to Norma in my 300 WSM, because it’s “better...” but I ended up prepping and sorting it all the same. It has less case volume and a softer case head. Winchester lasted longer and I could push the same bullet 50 feet faster than the Norma brass.

With that said, I’ve had good luck with Bertram. It’s tough stuff, but still needs sorting. I sure wish we could get Lapua, Peterson, or ADG to make brass for more WSM’s!

Thanks for all the reply guys, all in all im looking for about 75 pieces to start, long story short I picked up a win model 70 heavy barrel stainless for $250, so now I have to hand load it and then give it to the wife I already have a 300 rum that I love, but can you ever have to many 30 cals????

I've got some that I'd let going. It's Winchester sil ertip brass though. It's all once fired, Pm if you want

ive never reloaded the nickel any one have experience reloading this? im looking for about 75 pieces to start

Nickel brass will load fine. If you’re going to own a factory shirt mag, Winchester is the one to own. Their mag box is over 3” so you can load the big bullets and keep some Case capacity. You may just like shooting that little guy over your RUM inside of 700 yards.

I have Norma brass as well, not that impressed, I’ve reloaded them 3 times and out of 100, 2 have split necks. I anneal every other time I load. Personally I think Win brass isn’t bad especially for the price. I’m thinking this Norma lot is all on its way out but maybe I just had 2 bad cases. I also noticed primer pockets starting to lossen up on the second reload and I’m not even at max load or showing signs of pressure. I also don’t stress the necks as I’m only sizing the neck 2thou off.

I have 100 new win brass I may go back to next or try Bertram.

The nickel plated Winchester reloads just fine.I use it in my son’s Browning as a color code for his load.
My kimber eats full power loads from regular Winchester brass and has lasted a long time.
I have Bertram to try now but testing it is on the back burner.
