Hunting for a ridge line in 300 mag. Anyone run this. How is the accuracy? Any reason to go with another caliber? 7 mag?

Not very helpful for you but I just picked up a Ridgeline in 6.5 Creedmoor and have spent quite a bit of time behind the bench the last couple week and I'm really happy with it so far. I went 6.5 since I already have a .300 RUM. Just be sure to follow Christensen's process for barrel break in

Awesome. This is for elk hunting in Colorado and Washington.

.300 WM is the best all around caliber in my opinion and I have had and seen some very good shooting done with the CA rifles. .30 caliber is my elk caliber of choice.

There is nothing that a 7mm Rem can do that cannot be done with a 300 Win.

The 7mm is a fine round but it is not as versatile as the 300.

I have a 300wm ridgeline was a bit disappointed at first with accuracy but after I bedded the action and worked up load with 200gr Berger hybrids I couldn't be happier

Just finished load workup on a 300 ridgeline... I don't know if this was just a bad rifle or ?.... But it took allot to finally make it a 1/2 inch rifle... I know many that have exact same rifle and have no trouble.. I had horizontal stringing that was hard to figure out at least for me... 2 full bedding jobs, scope and ring changes, stock change ,,, and many rounds of ammo...This was kind of a test for me... I have built many similar rifles....using dolled up 700 actions, proof CW barrels and the ridgeline stocks... For the $1200 extra I am going this route from now on... This was probably just my bad luck getting a semi dud of a production rifle but the experience has made up my mind.... The gun would shoot everything around 1 inch . ...Dave
