Anyone have one? Wondering what loads are working for you. The best tested load I saw at the store before buying the rifle was using IMR 4064? anyone have one or using something different? I mainly bow hunt but love guns! Wondering what loads and powders have worked in this caliber if you shoot one? Bob.

This has been my go to load for the last few years with my 300 bee. It is a sub MOA load out to 500M. H4831 is the only powder my gun likes. I went through a ton of different powders with out any luck, but as soon as I tried out the H4831 I could do no wrong with my loading. It was very easy to fine tune my load. I also noticed the velocity and POI did not change from shooting during the hot summer 35C to the late fall down to zero. This is the only powder that I have used that does not seem to be temp. sensitive.

IMR 7828 with 150-200 grain bullets. Seems to be about the perfect powder for that cartridge.

More than a few critters fell to a 180 grain Hornady SST or plain SP sitting on 79 grains of RL22 fired by a Federal 215. I dabbled with RL25 and 200 grain pills before I stopped shooting small bullets:)

I don't know much about loading them, but the few I've been around have been impressive. Lots of power and pretty accurate for that big of gun. I'd think they'd be a great long range caliber, too.

This sounds like a great load for 180 gr. bullets. In addition to H4831SC you might try IMR4350 with the 180 gr. bullets. I like 180 Accubonds or Nosler Partitions also. If you move up to the 200 gr. bullets, then IMR7828 is the go to powder. Stick with the Federal 215 primers. Just my two cents....

Anyone using Nosler Brass? If so do you like it? Only brass I could find in this caliber. Bob.

I used it in my 300 for a couple of years and it is ok. It is way over priced for the little amount of prep work they do for you. And don't expect to get a lot of reloads out of it. 2-3 is all I ever got out of them. I also found the primer pockets were not very tight after the first firing. I think the brass they use it too soft.

When I switched to Rem brass I got a lot more use out of them. 8-10 rounds.

As a couple guys have already stated, use the fed. 215 primers. I would not even bother to reload if I could only get cci or win primers. For some reason they don't work worth a dam in the weatherby case in my experience.
