For sale is a 300 PRC that started out as a barreled action from Niemi Precision. It’s a 22” 1-9 twist Proof barrel on a Pure Precision Skeleton action. It has less than 80 rounds through it. Bare rifle weighs 6.4 pounds (103oz as per picture) on my scale. Threaded 5/8x24 and it has a trigger tech Primary trigger. I had John put this together for me so I could build my Dad a caribou/brown bear rifle for AK, but the recoil is too much for him and he has decided to go to a lighter recoiling caliber.

Rifle comes with 2x MDT 300 PRC 5-round magazines and a set of Talley lightweight rings. It will ship in a cheap plastic rifle case to your FFL. Barely any arca rail marks on rail. Shoots 205gr Berger factory ammo the best. Please message for any questions.

Price: 2700 shipped

I have an XLR Element 4.0 Magnesium that I switch between my 7PRC and 300PRC (BAT Vampire actions) I also have Manners PH stocks for both. The XLR chassis is a wicked recoiler with a magnum cartridge. The recoil in the Manners stocks is significantly better than XLR chassis. Adding the Backstop recoil pad also helps the XLR a lot. You may want to try putting the barreled action on a stock, like the Manners, that handles recoil better.

I appreciate the advice, the reality is I have another 300 PRC in an XLR with the vampire action with the backfire pad you have as well. It doesn’t bother me at all. He has agreed in his older age a more mild recoiling calibre is wise. I got him to get rid of his 375H&H and this one needs to go as well haha.

Maybe he will go 223 with 77gr TMKs and be back to tight groups and slaying game.

Bump, might have to cancel my order for the element hunter in 300 prc and buy this lol. That’s a awesome looking rifle

Dang I got gun purchase refunded from europtics to buy this one then it was marked sold lol. Now I just purchased a new gun. Bump for great set up best of
luck.

The rifle is in Beaufort, SC. It is still boxed up and never left my house.

Sorry Shawn for the hassle. I was working overseas and got news yesterday buyer wanted to back out. Hope whatever you ordered is great!

Any interest in a weatherby backcountry carbon .257 wby mag?
Im in BC

I appreciate the offer but father is going to try out the Blaser R8 option. We have already ordered it as well.

How do you like the Skelton action? How does it compare to something like BAT or Kelbly? I see you mentioned you have a vampire.

Skeleton is descent. It feeds well but is no BAT. Got it for the weight aspect. The bolt is heavily fluted so that may be why it doesn’t seem so “smooth”. The AICS mags feed great and haven’t had a FTF or eject, but don’t have many rounds through it.
