Generally speaking a 24" barrel will get ya 50FPS more with 4-5 % more powder and 150g bullets. That will jump to 100FPS more with 200gr. Brass will be more stable also.

Worth it ? I think some of P. O. Ackley's creations have good data points. For instance the 280AI matching up well against the 7mm Rem Mag for 30% less powder.

Some others though not really sure.

I have one.Great for heavy bullets.Only need to neck size when reloading.So brass lasts a long time.Of course you can shoot regular 06 in it so that’s nice.Harry Lawson did mine before he passed.
