I find myself grabbing a light Kimber from the safe 90% of the time.

Tikka has the vote on this site! Thanks for the comment. I don't like the Tikka or Sako stock. That's the problem for me with those two guns. I think they feel cheap compared to the Browning for instance.
SERIOUSLY ?? take the rifle apart then tell us the Browning is not "plastic" ..... "plastic" ... "Kevlar" ... "carbon fiber" ... "fiberglass" ... NOT a one of 'em is "wood" so what's your complaint ? synthetic is "synthetic" and wood IS wood ... there's nothin' in between - and IF you would research what Tikka and Sako SYNTHETIC stocks ARE made of and then researched THAT material you "might" have a different take on things ... or not -
Tikka/Sako stocks and the materials that comprise them were designed with obvious thought, not only for cost effectiveness but also function and longevity - Beretta and Benelli are solid companies, why not accept that Sako and Tikka are as well ? At least they build their own barrels and actions which is unlike Browning who has a Japanese company do it for them
I'd wager that if you took a Tikka synthetic stock and a Browning synthetic stock and did a side by side torture test the Tikka would come out the overwhelming winner (I've worked on both)
So GK. Tell us how you really feel.

Not liking a stock and saying one stock is "better" than another are two different things. Side by side the browning synthetic stock on my friends xbolt "feels" way nicer then the feel of my T3 stock, that's my opinion and you cannot argue with it. Some people just don't like the feel of the T3 stock, it has nothing to do with function or torture tests. I love my T3 and I can more than live with the feel of the stock.
Forbes is out of business as of now. Supposedly reorganizing though. Right now, Kimber is making the best light rifle, hands down.
Yeah, I sometimes get opinion and functional observation tangled up (anyone noticed that ??) Myself, I would love a bulletproof synthetic stock with a grip about the diameter of a tennis racket grip ...... no insult meant I assure you
Sorry that was taken the wrong way. I don't personally care for the inserts in the Sako and the "plasticky" feel of the Tikka. They could be the best stocks in the world but I personally don't care for the feel.
The feel is very important to me.
Thanks for the comments!
