2nd season elk colorado gmu 211,11

Trying something different this year and picked up a leftover cow tag for units 211 & 11. I have never laid eyes on this area. I know most is pinion juniper and oak brush. Looking for any help anyone is willing to give beyond that. I have studied on x maps and a BLM map for the area. Thanks

That’s a very weather dependent hunt, no snow, no elk... there are some resident animals in there but they are few and far between there will also be quite a few deer hunters as that’s a pretty popular unit for deer. It can be done I’ve seen it but your gunna have to work hard at it if there isn’t any weather to push them off all the private that surrounds the area.
