I have a weatherby backcountry guide with a 22” carbon BSF barrel. Using once fired Peterson brass and cci200 primers.
I’ve tried H4831sc and RL23. So far the RL23 is giving better ES/SD and equal or better accuracy but the velocity and assuming pressure have been higher than expected

60 gr H4831sc 3060fps 42/17 ES/SD
61gr H4831sc 3139fps 54/24
62gr RL23 3231 15/6
63gr RL23 3294 3/1
61.5 RL23 3213 36/16
60.5 RL23 3182 28/9
I’m going to try 59.5gr today. Even with the 63gr load bolt lift and extraction were fine but I did have cratered primers and ejector swipe. I just think I was expecting 3050-3100fps for this combo.
Has anyone else used RL23 and 145LRX? Do I just have a fast lot of RL23? My barrel has 220 rounds on it and I cleaned before shooting the Barnes. My previous load with the same lot of powder was 162ELDX Cci 200 57.5gr RL23 at 2913fps
