I am simply fed up with this rifle I purchased it brand new and have put probably 120 rounds through it, just cannot get the thing to shoot the way I want it to shoots almost everything good but I have found nothing that it shoots great and when I say great I mean half inch or under. Check to see if the barrel is free floated. I had a similar issue where the stock was slightly warped and it caused my barrel to jump around on the stock.

Of course I did silly, I bought a bunch to shoot so I would have the brass. Ive tried Retumbo, H1000, 7828, nosler partitions, berger 175 elite hunters, Barnes 175 tsx and Hornady 162 eldx. all shot ok, but not to my standard.

With the 1/8 twist have you shot anything heavier? It should do great 175 & up I would think.

I have not shot anything heavier than the 175, I thought it would just shoot lights out with that, but I guess not. Might try the 195, but I am still open for offers on sale.

I had an xbolt 270 wsm 26" fluted that was the predecessor to the hells canyon. Basically the same rifle with a different paint job. Sometimes it would shoot half moa and sometimes 1 moa, I call that a one moa gun. It would shoot factory federal fusions one moa all day long. After three different powders and many different bullet attempts, I traded it for something else to a fellow who was very happy with one moa. I'm sure there's a pile of folks who have half moa brownings. And its really hard to complain about a factory rifle that shoots factory ammo one moa, Usually if a rifle shoots factory ammo one moa, I dont have any trouble getting 1/2 moa with a load that I work up. I didn't want to invest anymore time into it.

Bump for a good gun!
I have the same gun....shoots fantasitc. I dont reload, I only shoot factory 160gr. Trophy Nolser Accubonds out of it and it hammers. I turned the trigger down a little and feels even better.

Mcarbo has xbolt trigger springs to get pull weight down to 2lbs. around $15 SHIPPED. They work. A little aggravating to put one in but is not as bad after you've done it once.

Hows your trigger?

The trigger spring was replaced with an M carbo right when I got it. Still only brought it down to 2.5 maybe a little more.
