Rifle hunt! It's an area I've scouted/hunted consistently, but never seen him before. I found him bedded midday, but lost track of him when he got up and changed beds. Eventually, I got in there and still-hunted through the area I last saw him. He stood up at close range and I shot him off-hand with 7prc!

Awesome buck! Good work! I bet that was a shocker to walk up to! Would love to see some pics of him laying on the ground if you got them.

Thank you. I thought the same thing when I found him in august. Then he disappeared....for a long time. I spent a lot of sleepless nights looking at pictures and footage of him trying to figure him out.

Not sure if this is legal to do as far as the contest is concerned, but it's my daughter's first deer at age 14, gross score of 192", had to cross a river, then a 1.5 mile stalk into 110 yards and she smashed him! Spoiled kid!

Had a fun ML hunt in NM. I was trophy hunting then started feeling the pressure to get some meat. After making a shot that wasn’t great. I decided to give the deer sometime to expire. Not fully aware of the wolves being in this area, they got to the kill first.
