Wait...so my photo was deleted for having someone other than myself in the photo who killed the elk? Even though I was there and took the actual photo? I thought this was a best Elk hunt photo contest?

So all submissions should be selfies? Since the people taking the photo are not the actual person who killed the elk...Maybe retitle to "best elk hunt selfie contest"

It wasn’t clear on who killed the elk. Looking back on it it’s still not clear if you or your father-in-law shot the elk. No it’s not a selfie contest, if you read all the rules, you do not have to be in it at all. You just can’t enter for someone else and if a comment is confusing, we are going to error on the side of caution and remove it.

Correct. You do not have to be in the photo either.

September 12, 2025. Packout complete, truck was still 12 miles away. Only had to walk about 1 mile before running into a fellow that I had met in the woods a couple times before and he offered a ride on his quad.

My 13 year old son filled his first bull tag! He made a great 355 yards shot and this great Roosevelt bull piled up in 40 yards

Private land made on foot access pretty tough so we chose waders and a raft for this pack out.
