2023 Wyoming General Guided Elk Hunt

I had a previous post but wanted to update it. My father was fortunate enough to draw a Wyo General Elk Tag for this season. We are looking for guide recommendations for a nonhorseback hunt with the general tag. This could be archery or rifle. I myself am from Western Wyo but he can no longer physically ride a horse due a previous horse riding injury. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

It may be tough to find an opening with an outfitter this late in the game. However, I would start here and find guys in the area you plan to hunt and then start checking references.

That was my first stop. I figured since some clients didn't some guides may have openings. If push comes to shove I can take him out to some of the areas out here in Western Wyoming and figure out a drop camp of sorts.

Maybe head over to another part of the state where horses are not needed for decent hunt?
