I was able to harvest this great buck after a successful stalk. After finding his original bed vacant I continued on in the direction I thought he went and 50 yards later I relocated him feeding in a steep chute with scattered jack pines. He was 30 yards away feeding in the mid day sun. He picked his head up and trotted in my direction and I was able to blow an arrow through his left front shoulder at a mere 5 yards! The arrow exited out the opposite side just behind his last rib. he died in seconds after a few short bounds. Apparently the dug out bed I was standing in was where he wanted to be
