I'm interested in the walrus skull. You native alaskan? What the story there?

Just native art that anyone can buy. Of course there is CITES paperwork to take care of if leaving the state.

You can also pick it up off the beach and get paperwork from USFWS.

I purchased the Walrus Mask at an estate sale. Is it carved by a renowned native artist from St. Lawrence Island, therefor complying with the 1972 marine mammal protection act. The Ivory came from B&C sized Bull.

Thanks Mr Perry,, I have been truly blessed to share my sheep passion with those I love most. Like all sheep hunters I would love to bring home the mythical 40 incher, but I'm more than happy to just be able to seek out and tread the places that they live in search of one and to know that they are still out there to lure us all into their domain each fall.

Heavy packs and many more years in the mountains to you my friend.

Merry Christmas.

Steve

That looks great sir!!! Congrats on yet another fine sheep mount....the flock seems to keep getting larger by the year....one heck of a shepherd I guess. :D

Only possible because of great friends such as you and Miss Becca.

Thanks so much my friend

I hear ya Steve. I feel the same way. I figure I'm way ahead of the game and any more years I get to spend in the Sheep Mtns are a bonus. Every year I soak it in and on the pack out there is the lingering thought that it might very well be my last year chasing sheep. A lot can happen in a year. But! so far so good and I think we're both looking forward to another year! and likewise a Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I envy young folks like Luke and Rebecca. They've still got youth on their side and have a HUGE start! I was 43 I think on my first sheep hunt. I'll be 54 this August.

A note to all you youngsters out there... Keep it alive, get involved with management issues and keep an eye out for us "old guys" in the sheep mtns! You never know where you might find us, we're full of surprises! :D

Very nice, do you know what form was used? I am in that unfortunate situation of having to make a decision on which form to use in the near future. ;-)

It's a beauty sir. So you got next years hunt planned out yet... Maybe take along a long lost relative you didn't know you had .... I may know of one... ;)
