180 ELDM Terminal performance.

Killed a big bodied buck with the 180 ELDM. Been super happy with the performance of this bullet so far.

Better BC than most 30 cal bullets, devastating wound channels and lower recoil than the big 30’s.

Rifle is a 7-300 Norma Mag Improved built by @barehandlineman at High Voltage Armory. Really pleased with this cartridge/bullet combo.

Here is another one to add. The entrance was a little more dramatic but the exit is very typical from what I’ve seen from a pile of critters killed with 180s.

What is your twist rate. I'm thinking of having a 7 RUM built and have a 9 twist Proof. Thinking that with that much speed a 9 twist will stabilize the 180 ELD-M's .
If you're having a rifle built why not go with a 1'8" twist? I did for my 280AI and I don't regret it for a second.

I already have a Proof CF 1X8 twist 24" I'm going rebarrel a 7 Rem Mag with. I have another Proof CF 1X9 twist 26" that will be going into a 7/300 PRC (decided to not do a 7 RUM).
But to answer your question. I already have it in hand.

I had to move away from the 180 ELDM's unfortunately. Once I shot my first lot # of bullets up (that shot and killed fantastic), I bought even more of a different lot and they shot like shit. Then I bought 100 of another lot, they shot great. Then 400 of another lot and they shot like shit. Basically it was like lot # roulette and I just can't stand kind of inconsistency. Bummer. But if you get a good batch, they're GOOD.

Dang, that sucks. I've got a bunch of 140ELDM's for my 6.5 and they shoot incredibly well. I shoot 180 Bergers at 2900fps in my 280AI, and they shoot bugholes. I was considering going to the 180ELDM but if they're that inconsistent I'll have to pass.
