I am curious if anyone has experience loading 120-130 grain freedom seeds in a shorter barreled 6.5cm.

Specifically looking at Barnes and Hammer bullets offerings in the 120-130 range. As well as Berger 130 Hunting VLD.

Powders on hand I have some H4350, IMR 4831, IMR 4166, and Win 760. CCI 450 primers and Peterson brass.

Will be using this rifle/load for Texas Whitetail, and a Mule deer tag in Colorado.

Just curious if anyone out there has anything

Thanks

Any recommendations for a 127g Barnes LRX with H4350 for 18” 6.5cm? Im want to work up a mono bullet load for my Sig Cross, which has shown exceptional performance with 147g ELDM at 41.5gr of H4350 out of Norma LRP and Lapua SMP brass. Also, have a ton of Ramshot Hunter on my shelf for my 300wsm, which I have had also had great performance with the Barnes LRX. If any experince using that particular powder with 6.5cm, I would be interested in hearing about that as well.

You mention you are looking at loading Barnes or Hammer. I would reference their load data and pick the bullet that will safely get you to 3,000+ fps muzzle velocity. You’ll end up shooting a lighter bullet.
