WTB 16 g shells

I recently acquired my great great grandfather's 16g shotgun. Gonna have it gone through and cleaned up, in the mean time looking for shells.

Wanting to buy 6 or 5 shot maybe 4 shot 2 3/4"

That's where I get 2 1/2" 16 ga shells for my Browning A-5.

Those are great low pressure loads for older guns. Highly recommend them, particularly for older sxs shotguns.

The shotgun I got is a rem model 31 made March of '49. Pump, so shouldn't have issues with the chamber length, but probably won't go super hot loads

That is a nice gun. It has some followers to be sure. Stay away from steel shot and magnum loads. Not that you are very likely to find 16 gauge magnum loads anyway...

I have done a little research on the gun, but not a lot. Sounds like it was one of the 1st pumps that really helped change design ar remington for pump shotguns. I will do more reading on it and see what I can find.

I did get some browning 16g 6 shot last night at cabelas 20$ a box, but I will keep an eye out for some cheaper stuff to play with still
