Absolutely no flags here. If you or anyone is interested, pick up a phone and call. I can produce any and all references you may need. How would you like me to sell these here? Is there a better way to aproach this? I can be reached by phone at 276 340 9817.

Proof of life pic would be good....which is a pic of the item with a small piece of paper laid across the item with today's date and your username written on it.

How is this post even allowed. I thought new members had to have 10 posts and be here for at least a couple weeks?

I understand the concerns. I will post a picture of the binos with a proof of life and user name on them when I get home this afternoon. Stand by.

I don't care what he produces. If he doesn't accept credit cards, I'm a no sale. I got scammed last month for a reloading press...$120 bucks. I didn't know that Zelle offered zero buyer protection. And, stupid me, I didn't realize he was a newbie till after I sent funds. That would have stung a lot more had it been $1900 bucks for binos.

YES, REDFLAGS. BEWARE, BE WARY.

It's not "technically", my guess is a moderator hasn't found it. He's already halfway to post count just jawing on here.

Allow the buyer to use PayPal goods and services and this will be a non issue. If you are worried about the fee, have the buyer pay it or split it with them.

I have never seen anything like this. You guys definetly are not interested in helping a new person on this site. I did what the site required to be able to post in the classifieds. I understand the ripoff comments. I posted a want to buy and recieved a response for the spotting scope I was looking for, only to find out he was a scammer. I reported him. What else can I do to appease you guys? As I have said. Call me. I am more than sure once you know who I am. You will be ok with purchasing. I will post those pictures asap. Any particular style?

Since you asked, what works best is a high resolution pic with the paper laid across a portion of the item so that you can still clearly see item's prominent identifying feature(s). In your case maybe have the box label with barcode in the pic with the bino, and the paper laid across one of the objective lenses of the bino. This angled placement of the paper allows for shadows to be created where the items interact and makes it impossible to photoshop without looking obvious.

I know this must sound weird but its a proven technique and very easy to spot scammers that try to play games with photoshop. Some other forums like shotgunworld make it a practice for all classified ads. It weeds out 99% of scammers.

The idea dates back to ransom negotiations with kidnappers in the last century. The victim would hold up the day's newspaper to prove they were still alive on that day.

The rules pretty clearly allow a person to pay a fee to skip the post and wait time requirement for the classifieds. Give the guy a chance to get home and post his "proof of life" pic. Besides being new, what other red flags are here? Are we really surprised people join this forum to use the classifieds, with people recommending Rokslide classifieds on other forums across the net? If he comes back and says he won't take PayPal G&S and you'll have to mail him a check for the binos, then carry on with the pitchforks. But so far, that's not what's going on.
There are a few red flags but Im not going to specify what they are. I kicked myself last time a scammer was outed because I pointed out the red flags in the post and realized I probably educated the guy. The only thing I'll add at this point is that he claims he donated, but there is no donation amount listed in his profile. Also, he's not listed on the donations list. Assuming that list is real-time and all inclusive, he did not donate.

I will make this a simple as possible. Yes,I will accept paypal goods and services. Yes, I will ship these binos to a senior member on this site before they have to pay for them. Provided they have good feedback. Yes, I did donate. When these picture are up, will I get a " Hey man I am sorry for cutting your throat? I know you did not rip me off, but I got ripped off and need someone to blame.

Don’t take it personally everyone is a bit pent up waiting on September elk season to roll around so we take frustration of packing a 100lb bag of sand up the same hill every night on unsuspecting new guys just trying to sell some binos. Also I wouldn’t ship a damn thing before I got paid but to each their own.

Here are a few pictures. Now that has been worked out. Who would like to buy a pair of binoculars? All this fuss, makes me think I priced them too cheap.
