I switched my standard lid on my EMR to a 1k CI back pouch, want to switch my Sureloc for a G5 Optix XR sight, tore up my one compression bag and got a new sea to summit to replace it. Other than that my gear layout looks the same!

We are almost a month in, lets hear everyones changes they ALREADY have planned in the gear department!

Picked up a new bow in late 2015 when the new Elites were released. I'll be ordering the Kifaru UL frame in the next few days. Seriously considering a tent upgrade as well. Currently running a mountainsmith mtn shelter LT, and although it worked great, I would like something a little bigger. Likely going to pick up a Cimarron. Other than that, most of my other changes will be relatively small. I'm going to sit down and go through the what worked/didn't work in the next few weeks.

I think I'm good to go. I'm sure I'll still play around with different broadheads until September, but overall I'm pretty well set on what I use.

X2 with Nick gear stuff is fun but ultimately it is not the biggest contributor to success.

Nothing really. I like my setup right now. I just need a new pair of boots. Mine had 3 seasons on them and were done.... I have a few convenience things for base camp but nothing crazy. If I have the cash, might replace my 15 year old rangefinder(bushnell yardage pro scout). still functions but it's water resistance has been compromised.

Nothing big. Pack, sleep system, and clothing I have are all good. I may add a piece here or there if something cheap pops up in the classifieds like an XTherm. I think I want to try that new Havalon multi tool. I may get my wife the First Lite pants.

Picked up some insulated boots for late season. Got the new Kifaru duplex. Other than that, I am working out the bugs in what I have. Trying to allocate more time and money to "get out there".

Not changing anything really other than clothing I got for Christmas. Just adding some minor things I didn't have. As a whitetailer I didnt have much backpack hunting gear.

What I plan to really add is a higher fitness level than last year and continue to work on becoming an even better shot with my bow.

Nothing, because it doesn't matter. Gear changes won't make you successful.

This post is super boring lol. Nobody said gear makes you successful but it sure is fun to talk about new stuff. And yes it does help you be more successful.

I'm getting rid of my kuiu gear and switching over to sitka for a few different reasons. I tried the kifaru nomad and decided or want for me. I have an older gen l bag but I'm thinking about picking up another bag for my frame, just not sure which one.

For me the main thing I am changing is optics. I am picking up a spotting scope and tripod. I've wanted one for about three years now I am in position to be able to purchase one.

Sold my Vortex Razor HD spotter and pick up a Swaro STS HD spotter.
Also, got some Leki Corklight trekking poles to try and save the knees. Never used trekking poles before.
