Up for sale is a Remington 11-87 20 Gauge shotgun that my kids no longer use and are graduating onto higher-quality firearms. This is the Sportsman model with 3" chamber and 26" barrel (actually measures just under 25"). The gun currently wears a factory youth stock set but the package also includes a full-size factory stock set so this gun would be great for an adult or for a youth to grow into. All the exterior metal surfaces are coated with Brownell's Aluma-Hyde II which if you are not familiar with it is a spray-on finish that is much more durable than rattle-cans but not quite like Ceracoat. The finish held up well all last turkey and waterfowl season with only a few scratches. The receiver is drilled and tapped for a Burris Marlin 336 mount for your Burris or Vortex red-dot sight and the Marlin 336 mount and screws are included in the sale. Also included are the sling, 2 spare gas-seal o-rings and the following chokes: Patternmaster Turkey, Carlson's extended M and IC, Carlson's flush SK, Remington flush M, and a flush F (it's in the gun now but I think it is a Carlson's).
Disclosures: the previous owner dropped the gun and dislodged the full-size stock at the wrist, so the full-size stock has a small chip out of it at the top of the wrist where it meets the receiver. Minor cosmetic only. This drop also cracked 2 of the 3 spot-welds where the inner buffer tube is factory spot-welded to receiver. I had this re-aligned and re-welded and the resulting larger welds (I can't believe the factory welds held anything together) required some minor inletting of both stocks - nothing visible but FYI. Also, the Marlin 336 front hole is very, very slightly left of the center line but the mount lines up well and everything is well within the adjustment range of my Vortex Venom. When mounted it all looks and functions fine but I don't want someone too have buyers remorse over it.
This would be a great gun for a youth or a great turkey shotgun for an adult. I researched gunbroker and sales for this gun are all over the board, it appears that the 21" barrel youth models are very desirable, but this is a 26"barrel but with both stock sets. Looking for $600 OBO postal money order or personal check including shipping in a hard case to your FFL (lower 48).
