Broken record here but in the $1k class, the Zeiss Conquest HD's are tops, followed closely by the Meostars, Nikon HG's, Leica Trinovids and then the Razors. I've owned all of those (multiple pairs of some models) and that's how I rank them. All I use now are Conquest HD's.

You are correct. I'd still take a pair of 10x42 Conquest HD's over any other 12x in the $1k range, but if the OP is set on 12's, then I'd go Meostars without a doubt, followed by the Razors.

Maven B6? I have quite a bit of their glass and it's hard to beat other than the top tier (EL/NL, Noctovid, SF lines) from the Big 3.

If you are military/LEO I think Meopta has a good discount. Great glass too.

Over budget, but there’s a Set of el's in the classifieds for 1550.

I recently bought some 12x50 BX-4s on here that are wonderful to me for well under $1K. Maybe look at the 12x50 BX-5 Santiam, supposedly better than BX-4, but I have no experience with them.
