These are 131g .284's for my Howa Alpine 7mm-08.

I've run a lot of lead and copper through that tube over the past year, and these were by far the easiest to tune. Pretty much what you just described really, and bam - 0.8" with a 7x scope and 6.5 lb. rifle package, and dead-on my LR reticle hold for 300.

At 2920 fps. out of a 20" tube, these little beauties essentially give me a short action .270. in a very compact package. What's not to like about that?

I'll be sure to post up how they perform on game. I'm very interested to see that, and will probably sacrifice a few hogs before my October elk hunt just to satisfy that curiosity.
