In the spirit of Weapons Month on Rokslide, we're looking at everything from archery, muzzleloader, and rifle gear.

The 260 Remington is becoming increasingly popular among the deer and antelope hunting crowd. No better person than Rokslide's own Long Range Editor, Sam Millard, to put the 260 to the test shooting one of his favorite bullets: The Berger VLD

This article is packed with hunts, photos, and even video. It's great information for any hunter considering the Berger VLDs and the 260 Remington.

Take it away Sam.

Very nice write-up. I have been using the Berger 140 VLD in the 7mm08 and very impressed with the accuracy.

Thanks for the information and your time gathering it. Have always been a fan of 308 based cartridges but never owned a 260. Must try these in the 25 and 280 and for sure in the 243.
