Is there a reason you do it that way instead of keeping your bladder clean and reverse squeezing filtered water on the quick connect back into the bladder?
I’m upgrading sleeping bag and have a EE 20 quilt that’s too cold and an old down sleeping bag that’s the right (unknown) warmth but it’s heavy. What would be the best sleeping bag degree rating for a late September CO elk hunt at 9,000-10,000 ft?
I have a 20 degree Enlightened Eq. Quilt and spent 5 days in CO late September in rainy cold weather. I was chilled to the point I wore my puffy jacket and long underwear/pants to bed. It’s more than adequate but not optimally comfortable if you like to be on the warmer side.
Is the Pro with the Dyneema fabric worth the >2x extra cost? Also does anyone know about trade offs with caring for Dyneema fabric for longevity? I am planning a backcountry elk hunt 3rd week of Sept in CO and we may be covering 10 miles a day and sleeping around 10,000 ft elevation.
