    Help me pick a winner

    The 6.5 creed is just more forgiving regardless of the rifle it's chambered in imo. That said, I would keep the Bergara, probably a better candidate for a prefit barrel if you want to change things up at some point.

    Bivy out tempts me but fears keep me at bay

    It's just one of the barriers of entry. Buy a bivy set-up and go camping over the summer to dial it in and get used to sleeping in the woods. I hear melatonin works to calm the nerves too.
