20" 223 73gr ELDM's.
I used them for deer depredations about 6 years ago and they did very good out to 550 yards.
Switched to the 77gr TMK cause they shot better and i couldnt find 73s instock anywhere.
26" 22-250 gets 3220fps with 80gr bergers. They shoot so good i havent tried anything else.
Id expect 77s to go atleast 3200 with ease out of 26"
20" 223 will take 77s to 2800 with ease.
Found a nice 223 load for the 62s but they are long at 2.350" and using benchmark shooting a howa mini action 8 twist had a few 3 shot test loads go into the .3s at 100.
They showed promise so got to load some more and test them at 400 yards.
I didn't want to waste so much money so I built my house slowly over 5 years.
I ain't the smartest cookie in the drawer but I know I didn't want to borrow money and have a 20/30 year note. I figured out how to use a mortgage calculator and them numbers it spit out hurt haha
All my buddys...
I used the 73 eldm for one summer and no complaints on hogs or deer. I couldn't find any when I was getting low and switched to 77tmk and never looked for the 73s anymore.
I cheat and run brass on a dillon 1050 to remove crimp and trim to length and full length sizer. That way if I want to run a few test rounds I can throw a primer in a case and charge of powder and seat with rock chucker.
You could give these a try.
I use his 105gr MKZ in a 6.8 and love their performance on deer/hogs.
